A pleated blind is a window covering made from specially folded (pleated) fabric. The blind can be adjusted from top to bottom, from bottom to top, or positioned anywhere in between. Unlike classic blinds and cassette blinds, pleated blinds allow you to cover only the lower part of the window for privacy while keeping the upper part open to natural daylight.

In ground-floor living spaces, pleated blinds provide privacy from passers-by without blocking natural daylight. The adjustable design allows you to cover only the desired section of the window opening.

Rulo manufactures and offers VS2-type pleated blinds operated via the top and bottom profiles. Available fabric options include semi-blackout, blackout, and moisture-resistant fabrics. Semi-blackout pleated blinds can be ordered as single-layer or double-layer (honeycomb). Blackout pleated blinds are available only as double-layer designs. Moisture-resistant pleated blinds are the best solution for bathrooms and humid spaces.

Yes. Rulo offers a dedicated moisture-resistant pleated blind range that is well suited for bathrooms and rooms exposed to water splashes or steam. Moisture-resistant pleated blinds are not waterproof.

Pleated blinds can be installed either on the window frame (running on the frame) or between the glazing beads (running between the beads). Pleated blinds are mounted to the glazing beads using screws. To simplify installation, a special mounting adapter is included with the product package to ensure accurate positioning.

Always use a calibrated metal construction tape measure when measuring windows. Using other measuring tools may result in a pleated blind that does not fit correctly.

Yes. For installation between glazing beads, measure the glass width (L2) and glass height (H2). Include half of the black rubber seal in the measurement. This measurement also determines the width of the pleated blind fabric.

The maximum dimensions of pleated blinds depend on the selected fabric. For larger openings, such as floor-to-ceiling windows, multiple pleated blinds can be installed side by side on a single glass unit. Pleated blinds can also be produced in special shapes (circles, diamonds, triangles); however, Rulo does not currently offer custom-shaped pleated blinds.

In most cases, it is sufficient to remove dust using a vacuum cleaner with a textile attachment. For double-layer (honeycomb) pleated blinds, remove the blind from the window frame, place it on its side, and gently tap between the folds to remove dust from the internal chambers.
