Pleated Blind Measuring Guide

MEASURING GUIDE FOR PLEATED BLINDS

Pleated blinds (also known as plissee curtains) can be installed either on the window frame (the blind runs on top of the frame) or between the glazing beads (the blind runs between the glazing bead, near the window glass).

Blinds can only be installed between the glazing beads if the bead is not rounded or sharply angled, and if the bead depth (distance from the frame surface to the glass) is at least 15 mm (D1). If the bead depth is less than 15 mm, the pleated blind must be installed on the window frame.

L1 – Width from glazing bead line H1 – Height from glazing bead line L2 – Glass width H2 – Glass height

The measuring method depends on the installation type:

Installation on the window frame

Measure the width (L1) and height (H1) from the transition line between the window frame and glazing bead. This measurement will also be the fabric width of the pleated blind. The blind is mounted to the window frame with screws.

Installation between the glazing beads

Measure the glass width (L2) and glass height (H2). Be sure to include half of the black glazing seal in your measurement. This measurement is also the fabric width of the pleated blind. The blind is mounted to the glazing beads with screws. For easier installation, the product packaging includes a special adapter to help position the brackets accurately.
